In a city that’s growing and evolving like Spokane, I see so many amazing people doing powerful work, but too often, their stories don’t get told. Every week, organizations, leaders, and everyday people are out here holding it down for our community, and I believe they deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported. That’s what The Hold It Down Podcast is all about.
My co-host, Michael Bethely, and I created this platform to bring awareness to the good happening in Spokane and to make sure our community has access to the resources, opportunities, and events that can help us grow together. There are so many organizations doing life-changing work, they deserve their roses, and the people of Spokane deserve to know where to find help, hope, and opportunity.
For us, Hold It Down isn’t just a name, it’s a commitment. It’s all action. We want to make sure the voice of our community is heard and represented with honor, integrity, and respect. We want to give space to the people who are building bridges, serving others, and moving Spokane forward.
Conversations That Build Community
Each episode of The Hold It Down Podcast features real conversations with people who are shaping the future of our city, educators, nonprofit leaders, business owners, artists, and mentors. We talk about mentorship, fatherhood, emotional wellness, faith, purpose, and community growth.
We’ll also highlight upcoming events and opportunities happening across Spokane. Too many times I’ve heard someone say, “I wish I’d known about that event.” This podcast is one way to change that–to get the word out so people can show up, connect, and grow.
Moving Spokane Forward
As our city grows, we want to welcome the people moving here and share what makes Spokane special–our character, our culture, our traditions, and our hopes for the future. Growth is inevitable, but direction is a choice. The Hold It Down Podcast exists to help drive that bus forward.
My hope is that every listener walks away feeling supported and cared for. After all, this is work we’re doing to serve you, the people of Spokane.
